South Korean actress Kang Eun Bi, 38, has announced her upcoming marriage to her partner of 17 years.

South Korean Actress Kang Eun Bi Reveals Wedding Date after 17-Year Relationship with Former Ulzzang
Kang, whose real name is Joo Mi-jin, revealed that she will be walking down the aisle on 5 April 2025. Her fiancé is reportedly Byun Jun-pil, a former ulzzang (Korean term for “best face” or extremely attractive person).
In her announcement, Kang shared the story of their relationship:
“Around 2008, when I was feeling lost, I met someone who changed me into a more positive person. It made me think that maybe in the distant future, I might be able to form a warm family with them.“
The actress admitted that her anxiety and uncertain circumstances had been obstacles in their relationship. However, she praised her partner for his unwavering support:
“That person stayed by my side, protected me, and waited patiently, like a strong tree, helping me find a safe space inside myself.“
Kang expressed her excitement about their wedding preparations:
“We planned the wedding without any fighting or quarreling, planning everything like we’d been waiting for this moment. It felt like we were starting to date all over again.“
The couple’s journey to marriage has been a long one. Kang mentioned that they had spent 17 years together before finally deciding to get married.
Kang Eun Bi made her acting debut in 2005 with the film Wet Dreams 2. She has since appeared in various television series, including Rainbow Romance, The Vineyard Man, and My Too Perfect Sons.
In 2012, Kang briefly changed her stage name to Song Eun-chae but later reverted to Kang Eun-bi in 2016. Besides acting, she has also ventured into online streaming, becoming active on the South Korean platform AfreecaTV in 2017.
As Kang prepares for this new chapter in her life, she expressed gratitude to her fans:
“I will cherish all the well wishes of those who are bringing them in person and all the well wishes of those who are sending them from afar. I will do my best to live happily and repay you all.“
