It doesn’t matter whether you’re male or female, boy or girl, man or lady, or cat or dog: you’d have heard of Kellogg’s, and you would have at least eaten one of their cereals before.
I mean, don’t you dare tell me that this isn’t familiar to you:

We all grew up with the American food manufacturer. Established since 1906, one of their most popular products in Singapore is no doubt their corn flakes, which has become the staple breakfast for some Singaporeans.
What you might not know is that the company make many other products as well; in fact, Famous Amos, the cookie with aroma that’ll wake even the most tired cat up, is under them (though the famous Amos is now trying to peddle his own brand of cookies after selling too much of the business away).
And what you might not know is that they’ve a cereal café as well in the US, known as the Kellogg’s NYC, in New York City.
No doubt the cafe is feeding Instagram instead of stomachs, given that we can just buy Kellogg’s cereals practically anywhere.
In fact, the cafe has an area that’s catered just for photo-taking.
And guess what?
This café is coming to Singapore as well, because why not.
But unfortunately, it’s unlike the one in New York. Read on and you’ll understand.

Kellogg’s Cereal Café in Singapore
In a move that no one has expected, Kellogg’s Singapore posted this and it got everyone talking.
If you can’t read the text, here’s what is written:
Cereal lovers of Singapore, we’re ecstatic to announce that Kellogg’s very first Cereal Kafe in Southeast Asia is now open in FairPrice Xtra, Ang Mo Kio Hub.
Enjoy cereals the classic way with milk and a choice of goji berries and dried cranberry or if you’re feeling adventurous, our heavenly desserts served with yoghurt and delicious pastries from cupcakes to muffins are all available.

We’re open daily from 12pm to 8pm and hope to see you there! 🙂
Yes, the popular NYC café has now become a popular AMK café.
Unlike the NYC outlet, though, this café doesn’t seem to provide seats (we can’t be certain, though), but that’s understandable because it’s located within an NTUC FairPrice Xtra.
Yeah, kid you not.
In a supermarket.

If you’ve been to Ang Mo Kio Hub, you’ll know about the large FairPrice Xtra at the basement. There’s a row of shops selling takeaway foods near the entrance, like breads and cookies, so Kellogg’s first café fits in perfectly with the other stores.
According to various reports, you can customize your own cereal bowl, and a number of cereals are available from Corn Flakes, Special K (you know, the healthy one), Mueslix, Crunchy Oat Granola, Froot Loops, Frosties, Coco Pops to Rice Krispies.
It, of course, comes with milk and even toppings like cranberries, goji berries, raisins and almonds.
Price of a bowl is from $2.
Not Just Cereals
If you’re not in a mood for some cereals, the café does sell other sweet calorie-filled goodness as well, like cupcakes and muffins—though I’ve no idea why you’ll buy muffins from a cereal café. It’s like buying chicken rice from a cai png store.
Here are the details of the café:
