People Are Speculating That Kenneth Ma & Roxanne Tong Are Having Their First Child Due to Kenneth’s IG Post

Everyone in the Andy Hui scandal has moved on.

On 21 October, TVB actor Kenneth Ma unintentionally sparked a wave of pregnancy rumors with a seemingly innocuous Instagram post.

Kenneth, who has been married to actress Roxanne Tong for nearly a year, shared photos of himself organizing personal items into a storage unit.

The caption, which included lines about making space for a “new chapter” and “new status,” quickly led fans to speculate that Roxanne might be expecting their first child.

In his caption, the 50-year-old wrote, “As the saying goes: ‘Happy wife, happy life!’ After being a husband for almost a year, the most important thing is to learn to let go!”

He continued by explaining his recent storage project, saying, “I was very busy moving house earlier, so I took advantage of the off day to pack all my treasures and miscellaneous items and put them into the mini storage room to free up more space for a new page in my life and a new identity! Never let space limit your imagination!”

The phrase “new identity” caught fans’ attention, prompting many to flood the post’s comments with questions and congratulatory messages, interpreting his words as a hint about an impending fatherhood.

I mean, what else can that be? New house?

Not long after the post went live, Roxanne Tong, 37, added a remark to clarify the situation, albeit with a hint of exasperation.

She commented, “This really caused unlimited imagination and misunderstanding,” followed by an expressionless emoji, implying her frustration over the unintentional rumors.

Her response, however, didn’t immediately quell the online buzz.

When approached by media about the comment frenzy, Kenneth addressed the misunderstanding with a light-hearted apology. “I am sorry for causing misunderstanding,” he said. “I will let everyone know when there is news. It is all up to fate.”

Again, his words neither confirmed nor denied any family plans.

What Was The Andy Hui Scandal Again?

Lest you’ve forgotten, the Hong Kong entertainment industry was rocked by a scandal in April 2019 when a video surfaced showing married singer Andy Hui being intimate with TVB actress Jacqueline Wong in a taxi.

Hui, who is married to Cantopop star Sammi Cheng, made a public apology, attributing his actions to intoxication while acknowledging this wasn’t an excuse for his behavior.

The incident severely impacted Wong’s career, forcing her to step away from the entertainment industry before eventually returning as a singer-songwriter in 2023.

Kenneth Ma came into the picture as he was dating Jacqueline Wong at the time of the scandal.

After ending his relationship with Wong, he found love with TVB actress Roxanne Tong, officially announcing their relationship on Instagram in June 2020.

The couple’s relationship flourished, leading to their engagement announcement on 1 January 2023, and culminating in a wedding ceremony in Koh Samui, Thailand, on 16 December 2023.
