Exclusive KFC x mofusand Merchandise Available From 13 January; KFC Cereal Chicken to Return For CNY 2025

Among all the things that Singaporeans love, there are two things that Singaporeans probably won’t ever stop loving — good food and adorable blind box characters.

One thing you can look forward to next month is an exclusive collaboration between KFC and mofusand, the fluffy cat character that your blind box-obsessed friends have been crazy over.

In January 2025, KFC will be releasing exclusive KFC x mofusand merchandise, and bringing back your favourite KFC cereal chicken. And psst, you can also look forward to a new KFC cereal chicken burger.

Exclusive KFC x mofusand Merchandise Available from 13 January Onwards 

If you don’t know what mofusand is, just ask any Gen Z you see on the street, and they’ll be able to tell you what it is. Mofusand is a popular illustration of a fluffy cat with big eyes, created by Japanese artist Juno.

Goody Feed’s Blue Cat won’t like that we’re saying this, but mofusand is rather adorable. You might have seen your friends opening mofusand blind boxes on their Instagram stories, but soon, you too can easily get your hands on a mofusan.

Huh? Get from where?

Well, look no further than the upcoming KFC x mofusand exclusive merchandise release.

See those cute cats in the photo? Yes, that’s mofusand, dressed up in KFC-themed outfits. Cute, hor?

From 13 January onwards, dine-in and takeaway customers at KFC can look forward to a few different KFC x mofusand collectibles, while stocks last. Here’s what each of these collectibles are!

KFC x mofusand Red Packets

For one, you can get the KFC x mofusand red packets, which come free with any purchase of KFC’s Cereal Chicken or Cereal Chicken Burger bundles. By bundles, we mean a meal, box, or family feast.

A la carte cannot lah, okay? Don’t get it wrong.

And psst — we’ll tell more about the Cereal Chicken and Cereal Chicken Burger later on.

Each set of KFC x mofusand red packets comprises six ang paos. These six ang paos have two different designs — both designs include the adorable mofusand.

The first design has the greeting “Da Ji Da Li”, and depicts mofusand in KFC-themed costumes.

The second design has the greeting “Ji Xiang Ru Yi”, and depicts mofusand in a lion dance outfit.

And if you notice, there’s a pun on the word “ji” in both greetings — instead of the actual mandarin word for “ji”, the greeting uses an icon of a KFC chicken bucket (chicken is pronounced “ji” in mandarin).

If you have these ang paos, you’re bound to be the favourite relative at your CNY gatherings in 2025. It’s the PIE to the hearts of your younger relatives

And as the Hokkien always say, ang ang bo hai lang. Here, mofusand also bo hai lang.

KFC x mofusand Plushie Keychains

Prefer a plushie? Well, you can get your hands on the KFC x mofusand plushie keychains as well.

These plushie keychains are $12.95 each with any purchase of a Cereal Chicken Box or Cereal Chicken Burger Box. Each customer, however, is limited to two keychains only.

The best thing about these keychains is this — there is a new keychain design released every week!

No choice lah, say until like that means must collect all already.

In the week of 13 January 2025, the bucket-design KFC x mofusand plushie keychain will be “on duty”.

In the following week, the week of 20 January 2025, you can expect to take home the egg tart-design plushie keychain.

Last, in the week of 27 January 2025, you’ll be able to get the drumstick-design KFC x mofusand plushie keychain.

You can’t get these anywhere else lah.

KFC x mofusand Blind Sticker Pack

Are you one of those who would give up everything for KFC breakfast? Well, there’s a special KFC x mofusand collectible you can get as well.

As long as you spend a minimum of $12 in a single receipt during breakfast, you can get a KFC x mofusand blind sticker pack for free.

And as Singaporeans always say: “Free one, must take.”

At this point, if you’re thinking: “Huh? What’s a blind sticker pack sia?” Well, it’s just like a blind box, except you get stickers instead of a figurine.

The KFC x mofusand blind sticker packs come in three different designs.

If there were more designs, we bet some of you would be eating KFC breakfast non-stop next month.

KFC Bucket mofusand Plush

Finally, we have the KFC Bucket mofusand plush. This is for all of you who love to champion the spirit of “go big or go home” — why stop at getting ang paos, plushie keychains, or stickers, when you can get an 8-inch plush?

From 5 February 2025 onwards, you can get an 8-inch KFC Bucket mofusand plush at $19.95, with any purchase of a Cereal Chicken Box or Cereal Chicken Burger Box.

Take note lah — it’s releasing only on 5 February 2025, not 13 January 2025 like the other collectibles. Why? Because as we all know, “good things must wait”.

The KFC Bucket mofusand plush is available at only ten KFC stores islandwide, located at Kallang, West Mall, Tampines Mall, Causeway Point, VivoCity, NEX, Jurong Point, Lot 1, Compass One, and Northpoint City.

Each customer is limited to one plush only.

KFC Releases New Cereal Chicken Burger; Brings Back KFC Cereal Chicken and Chicken Skin

If you’ve gotten this far in the article, you’ve probably realised that nearly all the KFC x mofusand collectibles require you to purchase the Cereal Chicken or Cereal Chicken Burger.

And you guessed it — a new Cereal Chicken Burger will be launched by KFC, and the KFC Cereal Chicken will be making a return! Both will be available from 8 January to 18 February 2025.

In the new KFC Cereal Chicken Burger, you’ll find the signature Zinger fillet coated with buttery cereal, curry leaves and chillies — essentially, cereal chicken. This is coupled with sliced cheese and mayonnaise, and sits between two fluffy brioche buns.

You can get your hands on the burger for $7.60 a la carte, $9.85 for a meal, or $12.80 for a box meal.

And as people say, all good things come in pairs. That’s why KFC is also bringing back the KFC Cereal Chicken this CNY!

You can look forward to chomping down on KFC’s signature Hot & Crispy Chicken, coated with buttery cereal, curry leaves, and you guessed it — chillies.

All that goodness, for just $4.80 a la carte, $10.80 for a meal, $12.95 for a box meal, or $23.95 for a buddy meal.

Mouth watering at the thought of both the Cereal Chicken and Cereal Chicken Burger? Well, you can get both by ordering the Cereal Chicken Family Feast for $41.95 — you’ll get five Cereal Chickens, two Cereal Chicken Burgers, nuggets, crispy tenders, and whipped potatoes.

But there’s one last thing — from 2 to 8 January 2025, you can also get your hands on the KFC Chicken Skin. It comes in two flavours — the original recipe chicken skin is priced at $4.95 a la carte, and spicy chicken skin is priced at $5.45 a la carte.

These menu items are available at all KFC outlets except KFC Sentosa and Singapore Zoo, so don’t go to the wrong outlet lah, hor? You can also order these menu items via GrabFood, FoodPanda, Deliveroo or KFC Delivery.

But if you want the KFC x mofusand merchandise, cannot be lazy lah — they’re only available for dine-in and takeaway customers, so you have to head down to a KFC outlet.
