KFC S’pore Launching Mac ‘N Cheese Zingerito from 10 March

If there’s one thing about KFC, it’s that they have never shied away from potentially devastating combinations.

Take the Double Down, for instance. Chock full of meat, meat and more meat (and perhaps just a little bacon, cheese and sauce), the burger would not pale in comparison to any of the offerings at the infamous Heart Attack Grill. In fact, it’s a wonder how nobody has died from the burger yet, considering all the heart-bursting macronutrients that go into it.

But here’s the thing. Though they’ve been relatively lucky thus far (in terms of food-related casualties), it appears that KFC has no real intention to cease its trend of fatally attractive fare.

Case in point? Their upcoming Mac ‘N Cheese Zingerito.

Mac ‘N Cheese Zingerito

It appears that from 10 March 2021 onwards, patrons at KFC will be able to relish the next big thing:

The deliciously termed Mac ‘N Cheese Zingerito.

Simply put, the Zingerito takes all your favourite KFC fare, squashes them together and encases everything in a single toasted tortilla wrap. We’re talking Mac ‘N Cheese, a zinger fillet, and turkey bacon, all nestled within a seductive tortilla wrap.

To the naysayers, it’s a sumptuous, considerably less toxic burrito version of the DoubleDown. But to the crazed fans of KFC, it’s near the level of the Holy Grail.

And it’s whetting our appetites really intensely.

You may be stoked to know that the burger comes at no real exorbitant cost other than a few inches to your waistline either. The Mac ‘N Cheese Zingerito will retail at S$5.90 as an à la carte option, and will start at S$7.95 for dine-in and takeaway meal bundles.

Also, if you fancy yourself as the box kind of guy, you will surely relish their Zingerito Box: a beautiful mixture of one single Zingerito, one piece of KFC’s famous chicken, one regular Fries, one regular Whipped Potato and one regular Pepsi Black.

As they preach, it’s entirely worth the guilt.

Whether it’s worth the extra health risks, however, is entirely up to your own volition. Though if there’s any consolation, it’s that the Zingerito still pales in comparison to the ever-famous Double Down – purely in terms of sodium and sheer cholesterol.

The Zingerito was actually teased earlier today, when KFC Singapore launched a rather cryptic video on their Facebook page.

However, the creation wasn’t explicitly specified in the clip, which led Netizens to speculate about the true nature of the product.

One even questioned whether it was a Mac and cheese double down, which would certainly be remniscent of the recent Mozzarella Zinger Double Down.

As we now know, however, it’s not that. Thankfully for our hearts.

In other news, McDonald’s recently re-introduced three of their biggest staples to date:

The McGriddles, Chocolate Pie and Kit Kat McFlurry.

Fancy the ultimate cheat meal? A feast comprising a Zingerito, a McGriddles, a Chocolate Pie and a Kit Kat McFlurry doesn’t sound bad. Not at all.
