People, if you’ve missed the previous salted egg chicken launched by KFC during National Day this year, I’ve got great news for you.

It’s back again.

Previously, the Goldspice chicken was sold for a few weeks before it went out of stock.

Here’s KFC announcement for your viewing pleasure:

According to their Facebook post, the Goldspice chicken will start selling at KFC stores from 3 November onwards.

On a while stocks last basis, of course.

Now, in case you’ve forgotten what the Goldspice chicken is all about because of Tiger Sugar opening today, here’s a reminder.

Yes, it’s salted egg with curry leaves and sweet basil, all mixed into one holy-moley-salted-egg goodness.

Here’s a Short Excerpt of our Review On The Goldspice Chicken

The skin is crispy and extremely salty, but in a way that’ll make you go for a second bite. The saltiness doesn’t taste like salt sprinkled on the skin (that would have been a magnificent fail seh), but the breadcrumbs that somehow blend in perfectly with the skin.

It’s so salty, I think it’ll go well with some rice, but surprisingly, it stands by itself well.

There’s a slight tingle of spice that complements the saltiness well, but maybe it’s the other way around. You see, if it can confuse me, it has won me over because I can’t really feel whether it’s salty with spices, or spices with saltiness: it’s just a blend made in heaven.

The salted egg comes as an aftertaste, after the entire chicken guzzling performance was completed.

Rating: 4.4/5 (not a bad score for our reviewer, George Yang. He’s pickier about his food than prospective girlfriends. #TrueStory)

Here’s how much it’ll cost you:

Ala Carte: $3.50 per piece.

Goldspice two-piece meal (with one regular whipped potato & regular coleslaw, one regular Sjora drink): $8.55

Plus, The Chocolate Hazelnut Egg Tart is Back Too!

When KFC launched their Portuguese egg tarts, people were sceptical. Will a chicken place really make good egg tarts.

They did. And we were convinced they couldn’t come up with anything better.

Until they started selling these chocolate hazelnut egg tarts. If you love their egg tarts, you’d probably love this too.

Sweet hazelnut chocolate at the top, with soft egg custard within, all wrapped up in a crispy crust.
