Singer Kim Jong Kook announced his marriage on 18 Aug 2025 during the filming of SBS’s Running Man.

The announcement took place in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi Province. The day’s guests were actors Jang Dong Yoon and Kim Ah Young.

During the opening segment, Kim Jong Kook hesitated before revealing he had something important to share. He then announced he was getting married.

The cast and guests were initially shocked and thought the announcement was part of a hidden camera prank. Once they realised it was genuine, they congratulated him warmly.

He acknowledged that while he had dropped hints previously, the news would still feel sudden to many fans.

This year marks Kim Jong Kook’s 30th debut anniversary. He mentioned that instead of making the album he wanted, he had “created his other half”.
