If you’re a fan of the Korean rom-com Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha, you probably know who Kim Seon Ho is.
The South Korean actor rose to prominence with the 2020 television series Start-Up and soared in popularity thanks to his role in the rom-com, which aired on Netflix.
Over the last few days, though, the 35-year-old has become embroiled in a scandal involving his ex-girlfriend.
The woman levelled some troubling allegations at the Korean star, and now it seems that they were true.
Ex-Girlfriend Claims Kim Seon Ho Forced Her to Have an Abortion
It all started with an online post on Sunday (17 Oct).
A woman claiming to be the ex-girlfriend of “actor K” alleged that she was pregnant in the past with his child, and that he forced her to get an abortion.
The woman also claimed that “actor K” had misled her with promises of marriage, and treated her differently after she terminated her pregnancy.
Kim’s Response
It didn’t take long for the actor to respond, as he issued an apology just three days later on Wednesday (20 Oct).
“I would like to apologise for making a late statement with my fear of watching my own name constantly being mentioned in many articles.
“Though we were in a relationship with good feelings to each other, I have hurt her with my carelessness and inconsiderate actions. I would like to apologise in person, but I am currently waiting some time to ask forgiveness. I would like to say sorry with this writing,” he added.
In doing so, he confirmed that he was, indeed, “actor K”.
He also apologised to everyone who had supported and trusted him throughout his career.
“It seems like I forgot about the people who have supported me to become the actor Kim Seon-ho. I would like to, once again, apologise for causing trouble to the people who have worked with me. I know my writing is insufficient for an apology, but I would like to express my sincerity. I am sorry,” he said.
Ex-Girlfriend Uploads Another Post in Response; Says She Will Take Legal Action Against Those Who’ve Attacked Her
In a subsequent post, Kim’s former girlfriend, still unnamed, confirmed that she has received an apology from the actor.
She added that there was a time when they “truly loved each other”, and that there were some misunderstandings between them.
“I don’t want things that are different from the truth to be spread, and I don’t want our story to be exaggerated anymore. My heart is heavy because I feel that I have caused a lot of damage to many people through this incident,” she added.
The woman revealed that she has been receiving death threats ever since reports of her identity have spread online, and that she’s planning to take legal action against those who have attacked her.
As for Kim, his career is now in doubt. Several advertisements in which he featured have since been taken down. He’s supposed to star in three new movies, but whether that actually happens remains to be seen.
