The victim of a viral prank appears to be having the last laugh after giving his prankster a taste of his own medicine.
That’s right kids, we have an update on the “Mediacorp Producer” who played an elaborate prank on Kurt Tay.

The Prankster Revealed
As it turns out, the prankster wasn’t a bored 13-year-old who was trying to find a way to kill time during his holidays.
On 6 Dec 2019, Kurt Tay put up screenshots of the conversation he exchanged with his prankster after he filed for a police report.
And according to the screenshots, here’s what we know of the prankster, or at least who he claims to be.
He’s a 31-year-old, a father of a six-month-old baby and he owns a boat charter business.
Oh, and he stays in Yishun. (suddenly I’m not surprised anymore, what he did sounds something very “Yishun-ish”.)
Claims That He Was “Brainwashed”
In the screenshots that Kurt uploaded onto Facebook, the 31-year-old claimed that he felt bad after Kurt uploaded a video ranting about how he got prank.

Well, that’s one emotional dude.
He even offered to cover up the cab fare and the losses that were incurred because of the unpaid leave.
When Kurt asked why he wanted to prank him, the father of one simply said: “sigh all the haters lah”.
He claims that he “kena brainwashed” by the haters.
He went on to say that he wanted to cancel the prank but the haters had urged him to “go ahead with the prank”.

Prankster Tried To Get Kurt’s Pity
As Kurt was conversing with his bully, the 31-year-old dropped hints to him that he was a father of one.
He began talking about how he had been getting a lot of calls since Kurt revealed his number to the public.
The calls had disturbed his baby and had affected his business.
He tried to appeal to Kurt’s sense of sympathy as a father by pulling in baby topics.
“My milk powder and diapers go Johor buy.”

Prankster Could Not Afford $1,100 Compensation
Since his prankster had offered to pay him compensation, he demanded $1,100 from him.
Fair enough, since that was the amount that he would have gotten if he hadn’t got pranked.
However, the father of one could not afford to pay as he had “spent a lot” on the baby and was “heavily in debts”.

He was only earning $1,200 per month as his boat charter business wasn’t doing very well and his wife had nearly had a miscarriage.
Kurt Halved The Price
After hearing his story, Kurt halved the price, saying that $550 would be enough.
He even promised that he would remove the post with his number and that he would drop the case.
Kurt Was Starting To Show Sympathy

Later, Kurt made a post on Facebook saying that he was starting to sympathise with the prankster.

However, his sympathy was short-lived.
Kurt’s fans rolled in and told him to not let the prankster go easily and that he was just trying “2act Ke Lian”.
