Lady Who Turned Hospital Gown Into Trendy Fashion Gets Sent More Hospital Gowns By Mt E Hospital

Streetwear, as the average jock on the street would attest to, comes in many interesting variations.

There’s, for example, the classic kind:

And then there’s R/Streetwear, a Reddit thread that showcases more… unique forms of streetwear.

Like these:

And last but definitely not least, this:

Sense something strange with that last one? Well, your sixth sense isn’t lying;

That’s a hospital gown, and the model apparently rocked it so well that she got new gowns from the hospital in question.

Hospital-sponsored

Before we proceed to the main gist of the article, here’s a quick backstory:

On 15 April, a Reddit user by the handle of u/geometrieva started a thread, documenting how she had been given a hospital gown for her MRI scan, and how it looks especially “sick” with her belt and bag.

Well, it looks sick alright.

Nevertheless, Netizens took well to the outfit, with the post garnering 16,000 upvotes in less than a day, and 20.7K upvotes at the current moment. Comments were also largely complimentary, with Netizens raving about how she rocked it so well that hospital gowns are gonna start “retailing for hundreds of dollars now”.

And now… back to the main gist

On 27 April, Geometrieva posted an update on Reddit, revealing some pretty surprising news:

Apparently, the hospital, Mount Elizabeth Novena, sent her her MRI results, but those aren’t the only items in the parcel.

There were a few hospital gowns incorporated in the mail as well.

And judging from her Insta stories, she was evidently stoked.

And thereafter, as any model would invariably do…

Geometrieva went on to rock it. Again.

Damn.

Netizens react

After Geometrieva documented her update, Netizens turned up in droves to air their sentiments.

Some, for instance, felt that the whole look just gave off a great apocalyptic feel.

And apparently, the free gift sounded so tempting that a Netizen would do whatever it takes to qualify as well.

Whatever it takes.

Streetwear

It’s one thing to pull off an innovative take on otherwise mundane apparel.

It’s quite another to pull it off so well that you’ll actually get sponsored attires in return.

And with that in mind, truly, kudos, Demtrieva. Here’s looking forward to your next concept idea! 🙂
