If you’re one of those that regularly chase the hype of Singapore’s drinks or dessert trends, here is 1 new drink that you should get your hands on. Besides KOI, Gongcha and Sharetea, the up-and-coming drink store, Bubbs is here to stay.
If you’re wondering why you should convert yourself into being a Bubbs loyal customer, here’s why.
Their bottles are unique
First created in Taiwan, the bottles are designed to look like lightbulbs. Inspired by the creative outlook, Bubbs is formed and you’ll be able to sip away through a straw that is inserted into the light globe (don’t worry, you won’t get electrocuted).
They have various flavours
With over 40 flavours from 6 categories that you’ll be able to drink from the lightbulb, you’ll be spoilt for choice. Depending on your preference for taste, you’ll be able to choose from normal teas, milk teas, fruit teas, ice blended drinks, thirst quenchers and yakult beverages. Some popular favourites around our office include the thai milk tea, honey oolong tea, honey lime thirst quencher and aloha ice blended.
You’ll be able to customise your drinks
Though this system is available in other bubble tea stores as well, we really do appreciate Bubbs having this for us to suit our drinks to our own preferences. With the choice to add toppings, you’ll be able to choose from white bubbles, pearls, rainbow jellies, grass jellies and aloe vera. If you like, you can even add all! At a cost of 60 cents each though.
Knowing the increasing concern of Singaporeans and their health, Bubbs allow you to choose your level of sugar and ice as well. Though a beverage store, we heard that Bubbs does not sell hot drinks. But we’re sure that everyone would be going down for their cold beverages anyway because.. lightbulbs.
Their prices are affordable
The prices that they are selling for each lightbulb drink is actually pretty affordable! Starting at $2.20 each, you’ll be able to score yourself a bottle of black tea and still getting to keep the bottle! We heard that if you purchase a lightbulb bubble tea in Taiwan, you could only drink from it, take as many photos as you would like and return it, but that won’t be the case here so hooray for us!
There might be a delivery service
We’re not quite sure when this would be start but flyers have been given out with a delivery hotline number at the bottom of each advertisement. If this is true, imagine ordering multiple lightbulb bottles of bubble milk tea and they’ll be sent right to your doorstep!
They currently have 1 outlet in Singapore
Located at 1 Irving Place, the Commerze, #01-06, Singapore 369546. They are opened Mondays to Fridays at 11am to 6.30pm and Saturdays from 11am to 2pm. They are said to be closed on Sundays and Public Holidays so do remember to head down on their available days at an earlier time to grab yourself a lightbulb drink.
