Here’s something I’m sure you will agree with, even though the government didn’t seem to agree at first: mental health is essential.
Of course, they later realised they were wrong and changed their restrictions for mental health.
Now you may ask, what does mental health got to do with bubble tea?
Imagine a month without bubble tea. Just the thought is enough to give me depression, stress and anxiety.
But in case you know someone from the gahmen, here’s a 2009 study that found that diets low in carbohydrates may impede cognitive functions and negatively affect memory. And here’s a 2017 study that says people are more likely to follow social rules when they’ve eaten carbs.
Put those together, and I’d argue that bubble tea is essential for our mental health, decision-making ability and in maintaining social order in a bubble tea deprived country.
But before the gahmen realises their mistake, the rest of us now half-functioning humans from the lack of bubble tea got to get their needs somehow.
Of course, we already told you of the hawker bubble tea stalls. But here’s one more trick to get LiHO & Gong Cha, because bubble tea might be bae, but branded bubble tea is life.
Delivery From Their Partner Brands
In case you didn’t know, LiHO has partner brands where they sell their drinks. And those still accept deliveries.
Here’s the list:

- Paik’s Bibim from Bedok Mall, NTU, Tiong Bahru Plaza, VivoCity
- Tino’s Pizza from Tiong Bahru Plaza

Here are the 9 flavours:

Gong Cha, on the other hand, don’t have partner brands but has an active social enterprise with Professor Brawn Cafe at Enabling Village.
The bad news is that for Gong Cha, you need to be living near Redhill for them to deliver to you.
It’s worth mentioning that Professor Brawns is a social enterprise that provides job and social integration opportunities to people with special needs and the disadvantaged in society.
Here’s why this matters in your bubble tea hunt: they’re a small outlet not used to the large influx of orders.
You can SMS or WhatsApp them at 8321 2204 one day in advance for delivery with the following details:
• Name
• Address
• Order
• Date Delivery/Pickup
• Time of Delivery/Pickup
I guess those who live in an ulu location like me will have to learn to make it themselves, which you can read about here.
