Nothing can enrage the masses more than a losing sports team. Especially when said sports team is the team that you support.
For one Liverpool fan, this anger and disappointment manifested in rowdy behaviour and loud shouting over an extended period.
The fan, who was upset that Liverpool lost the match (4-3) against Bayern Munich in a friendly game between the two heavyweights last Wednesday (2 August 2023), displayed such unsavoury behaviour outside the National Stadium and in the MRT station and train.
Netizens captured the behaviour.
Here is what happened.
Liverpool Fan Was Shouting at Others Outside the National Stadium
In a series of videos posted on the short-form video platform TikTok, user @sewyyy41 showcased how badly behaved some local football fans can be.
One of the videos posted by that TikToker, captioned “The confrontation that started it all”, showed a man aggressively walking towards some people while shouting and waving his hands in a, well, confrontational manner.

He can also be heard shouting at some people, who are seen scurrying away.
The man was wearing a red Liverpool jersey and jeans. The Liverpool jersey had Robertson’s name printed on the back.
Andrew Robertson is the Liverpool left-back. We wonder how Robertson would feel to have a fan like that.
Liverpool Fan Continued to Shout in the MRT Station and Taunted Others on the MRT Train
Another video posted by the same TikToker was from the perspective of someone riding the downward escalator.

The same Liverpool fan from before was at the door of one of the MRT train carriages and can be heard shouting again.
He was also aggressively waving his hands and clutching a yellow t-shirt in one hand.
Whistles can be heard in the background, presumably from the MRT staff trying to control this man.
Looks like not only did Liverpool lose this match; their fan also lost his temper.
In the third video of this series, the TikToker posts a video which is chockful of drama.

Firstly, the same Robertson-loving fan can be heard saying in a hoarse voice, “Thomas Tuchel can [expletive] himself from Chelsea”.
He also said, “Sadio Mané can [expletive] off to Saudi Arabia”.
Thomas Tuchel is the current manager of that night’s winning team, Bayern Munich. Sadio Mané played for Bayern Munich and was recently confirmed to move to Al-Nassr, a Saudi Arabia club.
Apart from cussing out the players, the Liverpool fan was also seen shaking a yellow Borussia Dortmund jersey which he was trying to force someone to look at.
There were also taunts about someone being “scared to look” at the jersey.
For those unaware, Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich are known rivals in the Bundesliga football league.
There’s nothing like your enemy’s enemy being your friend.
