According to videos posted on social media, someone was livestreaming the fight on social media. The footage showed two men dressed in dark clothing engaged in a violent confrontation at an open-air car park.
One man charged at the other, shouting “Fight!” in Hokkien dialect before using vulgar language.
Later in the livestream, one man was seen swinging a baton at the other person, after which both men became entangled in a physical struggle. The broadcast lasted only about 20 seconds before abruptly ending, but even as the screen went black, someone could be heard shouting: “Someone called the police, let’s go!”
Based on observations, besides the two men fighting, there were at least five viewers participating in the livestream, with others watching and posting real-time comments.
One of the men’s faces was clearly visible in the broadcast, which became crucial evidence in the case.
Police quickly traced and arrested both men involved in the fight.
Police confirmed receiving a report about the brawl and arrested two men, aged 44 and 50, for affray. The 44-year-old sustained injuries during the fight but refused hospital treatment.
