Are you having trouble waking up for your morning commute to work?
If a dog can reach the MRT station before the first train arrives, you should be able to wake up for your work too.
A dog went missing over the weekend, only to be found chilling at Buona Vista MRT station.

Dog Jumps Fence in Wee Hours of Morning, Finds Himself at Buona Vista MRT Station
On Sunday (2 April), a Facebook user, Karthik Nathan, posted about the little adventure his dog, Apollo, had the same day.
According to the Facebook post, Apollo had jumped the fence of his home and escaped in the wee hours of the morning.
While most of us were sound asleep, Apollo was out and about having his adventure—perhaps he wanted to go to the moon.
Either way, Apollo ended up at Buona Vista MRT station, approximately 1 kilometre from his home. Maybe Apollo was waiting for the first train or looking forward to seeing his pals at the Pet Safari nearby.
Unbothered. Moisturised. Happy. In His Lane. Focused. Flourishing.
Apollo, although quite some distance from his home, seemed to be perfectly unbothered about how his owner was probably panicking about losing Apollo.
You could even say that Apollo appeared to be “bing-chilling” at Buona Vista MRT station.
You could even use the “Unbothered. Moisturised. Happy. In My Lane. Focused. Flourishing.” meme template on this picture of Apollo, and it would fit just fine.

According to the post, the SMRT staff subsequently found Apollo at the MRT station and decided to bring their new friend to the SMRT office. The SMRT staff then took care of Apollo while trying to contact his owner using the contact information on Apollo’s collar tag.
Fortunately, Apollo was a “good boy and didn’t misbehave”. He waited obediently for his owner, Mr Nathan, to bring him home.
With the valiant effort and kindness of the SMRT staff, Apollo was later reunited with Mr Nathan.
Faith in humanity restored.
Going the Extra Mile for Singaporeans
In his post, Mr Nathan thanked “Syahril and Archana of SMRT” for caring for his lost doggo.

Multiple netizens commented on Mr Nathan’s post commending the SMRT staff for their kindness. The lost pet notices plastered everywhere are a testament to the fact that not every lost pet can eventually find itself in such safe hands.
Mr Ng Chan Cheok, the head of SMRT’s Circle Line, also praised the SMRT staff for “going the extra mile” to reunite Apollo with Mr Nathan.
As we venture on our daily commutes, let us treat the MRT staff kindly. After all, it isn’t easy to constantly deal with the unexpected, such as a dog waiting for the first train, those who jam MRT doors or those who stumble onto the train drunk and intoxicated.
To all our public transport staff, thank you.
