To all major garlic fans out there, prepare your tissues.
Mad for Garlic, an Italian restaurant well-known for its garlic-themed dishes, will close down its outlet at Suntec City on 28 April 2023.
A restaurant chain that started in Korea in 2001, people have grown mad for garlic (pun unintended) as the dining establishment now has grown to have over 40 branches in Korea.
They also have overseas franchises, with three eateries in Hong Kong, one in Taipei and one in Singapore (unfortunately, not anymore soon).
Mad (And Also Sad) For Garlic
The news was announced via an email sent to all of Mad for Garlic’s members, whereby the restaurant shared that their lease will expire soon in May.
They also reminded their members to use their accumulated points to redeem vouchers to offset their bills.
50 points will redeem in a five-dollar voucher, 100 points for a ten-dollar voucher and 150 points for a $15 voucher.
To use the vouchers, dining patrons will require minimum spending of $50, $100 and $150, respectively.
Another thing to note is that from 15 March onwards, the restaurant will stop giving points to members as part of their preparations to close down their operations.
