The woman’s seven-year-old son survived the incident but sustained injuries to his neck and jaw. The boy managed to escape from the house and alerted neighbours, who then called for help.

Discovery of Bodies After Son’s Escape from Kulim Home

Neighbours rushed to the scene after the boy called for assistance. They discovered the woman’s body and immediately contacted the police.

Kulim police chief Superintendent Zulkifli Azizan said preliminary investigations suggest the woman attempted to kill both children before taking her own life. The deaths appear to be linked to emotional distress from a relationship dispute.

A forensic examination found no signs of forced entry into the home. The bodies showed no external injuries apart from those consistent with strangulation and smothering.

In one note, the woman apologised and explained her decision. “I apologise to everyone, this is my ‘final journey’ and I can no longer endure the heartache. (The children) cannot be left with anyone, which was why I felt compelled to take them with me,” she wrote.
