A well-known Malaysian singer and actor has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a 17-year-old girl.
PDRM in Petaling Jaya arrested the man following a report lodged by the victim’s mother.
Celebrity Arrested After Hotel Assault Allegations
District Police Chief Shahrulnizam Bin Ja’afar said in an official statement that the victim met the celebrity at a cafe in KL where she worked. Both had known each other for three months when the man invited the victim to meet at a hotel.

The victim’s mother lodged a report on 2 Jun 2025. PDRM arrested the actor the following day around 2:54pm. He was detained before being released on police bail.
Police have not revealed the identity of the celebrity.
Investigation Under Sexual Offences Against Children Act
The matter is being investigated under Section 14(a), Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017 (Act 792).
Principal Assistant Director of the Sexual, Women, and Children Division (D11), Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department, Senior Assistant Commissioner Siti Kamsiah Hassan said that the victim had met the actor several times before the suspect took the victim to the hotel.
The suspect allegedly committed sexual assault on the victim during their most recent meeting.
Siti Kamsiah said that they arrested the suspect to facilitate investigations before he was released on police bail. The case has been classified as sexual assault on a minor.
Siti Kamsiah added that the investigation paper is being finalised.

Just recently, former Singapore actor Ian Fang was sentenced to 40 months’ jail after pleading guilty to sexual offences involving an underage girl.
The 35-year-old admitted to three counts of sexually penetrating a minor, with five other charges taken into consideration during sentencing.
In total, he had sex with the teenager on nine different occasions.
The first time occurred at a hotel, where the teenager had stayed after contracting COVID-19.
