Love is a fickle thing.

On one hand, it could be the most blissful thing in the world, surpassing the likes of Hershey’s dark chocolate and perhaps even Jia Yuen Eating House’s Salted Egg Buttermilk Chicken Rice.

And yet on the other hand, it could be the coldest thing in the world;

One that could drive you crazy… for all the wrong reasons.

As the age-old saying goes:

“Hell hath no fury like a cuckolded man.”

S’pore Man Confessed To Exposing Intimate Photos Of Wife’s Affair Online After Stealing Her Phone

A 27-year-old man pleaded guilty to a charge, each, of theft and distributing an intimate image.

He will officially be sentenced next month.

However, the case of this 27-year-old man, who we shall call Tom, kind of differs from the norm.

What Happened

In February 2020, Tom was a married man. Technically. Though he remained married, he had moved out of the matrimonial home.

He and his wife, who we shall call Jane, were estranged.

But that did not serve to deter Tom from finding out whether Jane had an affair.

On 6 February 2020, he turned up at her home, requesting to use the toilet.

After doing his business in the master bedroom, he did not leave immediately.

Instead, he ran out of the house with his wife’s mobile phone with her chasing after him.

Ultimately, however, she was unable to catch up with Tom. The latter then took the opportunity to look through her phone.

Discovering several intimate images and videos of the victim, he decided to use his own phone to photograph and video-record the footage.

He then returned to Jane’s home and passed back the phone.

Whole World

On the morning of 12 February 2020, Tom decided that he did not “want others to share the same fate as him.”

As such, he decided to post the media on Facebook “so that everyone can see them.”

This includes an image of Jane having sex with her supervisor at work, photos of the supervisor as well as their illicit text conversations.

Tom also described the supervisor as a homewrecker and even include the supervisor’s name and occupation.

Thereafter, the post swiftly went viral, garnering 2,000 shares and 3,000 likes within hours.

Both Jane and the supervisor also came to know about it through word-of-mouth.

He eventually removed the post because he didn’t expect it to “attract so much attraction”.

For theft, Tom could face up to seven years in jail, as well as a fine.

For the intentional distribution of an intimate image of another person, he could face a jail term of up to five years, a fine, caning or a combo.
