Like what one commenter said in the Facebook caption,”Well done. One more license suspended, and lesser cars on the road.”
In a recent post by Beh Chia Lor, the video shows a GTR speeding in a car park at East Coast Park, before crashing into a Corolla that was just driving into the area. Both cars could not break in time, and the collision saw the bumper of the GTR flying off while the Corolla got dented.
Of course, this garnered quite an outrage from most Facebook commenters. Some cited that the GTR driver deserved it since he was purely trying to show off his vehicle. On the other hand, some also… Okay no, actually everyone was just targeting the GTR.
Some were commenting that he made up for his lack of intelligence in the cash department
While others are concerned about the safety of other Singaporean drivers and passengers on the road.
While it is the GTR driver’s fault for speeding on a small lane, or for even speeding at all, I guess the Corolla driver should still hold a fair bit of blame for not checking the road before moving forward.
In the video, it shows the GTR cruising at a high speed from a distance. The Corolla driver could have seen an incoming vehicle from the far distance if he had checked for blind spots before moving forward – or that’s what they teach us in driving school anyway.
Guess it’s going to be quite a challenge for the GTR owner to claim his insurance now.
