Since the dawn of time, humans have been trying to figure out how to settle disputes without resorting to violence.
It’s been nearly 200,000 years and we’re still figuring it out.
Sure, they are a few who’ve discovered that using your mouth to express your objections is the best way to deal with arguments.
But many deal with their squabbles the old-fashioned way: with a nice, tight slap.
Man Slaps Another Man Repeatedly Over a Parking Lot Near Nex
A 52-year-old man was caught on camera slapping another man repeatedly while the two were reportedly arguing in a carpark near Nex.
According to Stomp, the incident occurred on Saturday (6 June) at around 5pm.
A video of the incident was posted on Facebook and has been shared over 400 times at the time of writing.
At the start of the video, the two masked men can be heard arguing with each other, with one man cursing and pointing aggressively at the other.
The more aggressive man slaps the other guy in the face a few times, causing the guy’s mask to fall off at one point.
But the other guy never reacts physically, and continues to endure the man’s curses and slaps throughout the video.

Man Arrested
Officers from Jurong Police Division managed to establish the identity of the suspect and arrested him on 10 June for public nuisance and voluntarily causing hurt.
So, why did he slap and curse that man so furiously?
The suspect was apparently angry with the other man “over parking lot issues”.
Now, I don’t know about you, but if someone steals my parking lot, my first instinct wouldn’t be to slap them in the face.
It’s a bit like murdering someone after finding out they accidentally took your takeaway McDonald’s order.
He won’t get away with it though; he might go to jail for the three slaps he gave the other guy.
According to Stomp, the 52-year-old could be fined $2,000 for public nuisance, but if the act is deemed to have caused any common injury, danger, or annoyance to the public, he could be jailed for three months in addition to the fine.
Does annoying me on Facebook count?
He also faces up to three years in jail and/or a fine of up to $5,000 for voluntary causing hurt.
The police said they take a “serious view of such egregious behaviour, and will not hesitate to take action against those who blatantly disregard the law”.
Second Violent Parking Lot Dispute In A Week
Car parks have been a dangerous area as of late.
Last month, a man was punched by a driver over a parking lot dispute at Ang Mo Kio Avenue 10.
During the circuit breaker, it was violent stabbings and gang fights, and now it’s slaps and punches. I guess this is progress?
