Man Carelessly Leaves Wallet Behind At Geylang Sheng Siong Counter; Next Customer Steals It

I have an incredibly selective memory.

In other words, I vividly recall only the stupidest and the most unnecessary pieces of information.

I was kicked out of Kumon for being a restless demon child. I was the bane of every tutor’s existence.

I also don’t remember leaving my credit card on that godforsaken corner of my desk. But damn it, I’ve called for a replacement. Guess that’s a balance of negative $5!

See? Awfully selective and broke.

A Facebook user by the name of Brent Tay has taken to social media to share an incident similar to that of mine. Brent’s wallet had been stolen by an unidentified suspect and he has decided to call upon social media to help him find the thief.

Carelessly Left His Wallet Behind

Brent uploaded a CCTV footage clip of what seems to be him at a check-out counter where he forgets his wallet.

According to Brent, the following was at the Geylang branch of Sheng Siong. At the two-minute mark of the video, a man can be seen swiftly snatching Brent’s wallet from where it had been left and pocketing it.

He also included images of the man.

48 Hours Since Wallet Was Stolen

Brent explained that it had been 48 hours since the incident and his wallet has yet to be returned. As such, he’s appealing to Facebook users for information on the suspect.

Since being uploaded on 7 December, the post has garnered 123 shares and 22 comments from fellow Facebook users.

Quite a handful suggested that he report the case to the police immediately.

It remains unclear if he has done so. As of now, there have been no updates on the status of Brent’s stolen wallet. Though I do hope that he eventually gets it back!
