The police are investigating after a 23-year-old man’s body was retrieved from the waters near Sembawang Park on 20 Oct 2025.​
Discovery and Emergency Response
Police received a call for assistance at around 2:20pm after a body was spotted floating in the water. The body was subsequently retrieved from the location, reported The Straits Times.​
The Singapore Civil Defence Force received a separate call for assistance at Kampong Wak Hassan at approximately 2:30pm. A paramedic from SCDF pronounced the man dead at the scene.​

Investigation Status
Police do not suspect foul play based on preliminary investigations. The case remains under investigation.​
Kampong Wak Hassan is a short road along the Sembawang coast near the park. The area is located next to the 15-hectare Sembawang Park, which faces the Straits of Johor.
