Man Used Explicit Images of His Wife & Friends to Write ‘Sexual Fantasy Story’ in S’pore Forum

There are some truly despicable people out there.

In the last couple of years, numerous accounts of men secretly filming women showering have emerged, in what seems to be a growing problem.

It’s bad enough when a stranger does it, but what about when your own husband does it to you, and posts pictures of it on the internet?

That sounds too awful to be true, but that’s exactly what this 41-year-old Singaporean man did.

The man, who cannot be named to protect the identity of his victims, planted pinhole cameras in several locations including his house to film his wife, sister-in-law, church friends, mentor, and family friends showering, reported TODAY.

The man was sentenced on Wednesday (11 Aug) to 28 weeks’ jail and a fine of S$6,000.

It all started in 2008, when he was 29 years old.

He planted pinhole cameras in the toilets of his own house and his mother-in-law’s house, as well as a church friend’s home.

During this time, the man frequented the site Sammyboy, as he “felt accepted” by the forum community and “felt that the church community were hypocrites”.

He initially only posted comments, but later started sharing screenshots of the videos he took to gain more attention.

One of his victims, a close church friend, had allowed him to shower at her place after a jogging session.

This is when he placed the hidden camera in her bathroom, according to TODAY.

After getting videos of her showering, the man took screenshots and uploaded them on Sammyboy as part of a sexual fantasy story he was writing.

Over the next few years, the man did the same to his sister-in-law who showered at her mother’s house, as well as his church mentor who showered at his own place after jogging.

Got Bored of the Story

The man reportedly got bored of his story and decided to do something different to “keep his readership up”.

In September 2016, he downloaded his church friend’s photo from Facebook and shared it on Sammyboy along with a screenshot of her nude in the shower which showed her face.

Fortunately, a friend of the victim came across her on Sammyboy and informed her that her picture was on the site.

She subsequently lodged a police report at Bedok North Neighbourhood Police Centre.

The man deleted his Sammyboy account, but it was too late. When he was arrested in his home, police seized several devices that contained the nude photos and videos.

‘Wanted’ To Get Caught

The man’s defence lawyer claimed that he only shared the last photo of his church friend, where her face was visible, because he wanted to get caught.

District Judge Adam Nakhoda wasn’t buying it and said that it simply emphasised the callousness of his actions.

“There is really no way to prevent further circulation of her face and there may be no end to her trauma,” the judge said.

This is something many perpetrators of sexual harassment or assault don’t understand; the man will serve his 28 weeks in jail and move on with his life, but his victims may have to deal with their trauma for a lifetime.
