We’ve all heard of pretty boys. If you haven’t, here’s the Wise Old Man’s interpretation of the term:
A pretty boy, to put it bluntly, is a guy that looks like a girl.
And to support his definition, the old fogey wise man provided some key examples, like…
The charismatic Captain Yoo…
And our resident videographer Justin Tan.
But every once in a while, a pretty boy of all pretty boys pops up and makes you wonder…
“Is he really… a guy?“
Like seriously…
Is it really not a she?
Meet Abdussalam Firdaus Abdul Aziz
The 22-year-old, who studies at University Kuala Lumpur, is pretty much your typical University student, in the sense that he attends football matches, tries fashion styles, etc. etc.
But there’s one thing differentiating him from the rest:
His looks.
For as you might’ve noticed… Abdusallah here looks amazingly…
…pretty for a guy.
And in case you’re wondering, it’s not just me.
Even the folks at a football stadium thought so.
The Pretty Case of Abdusallah Firdaus Abdul Aziz
According to MStar, Abdusallam had entered the Bukit Jalil Stadium during the semi-final of the AFF Suzuki Cup 2018, clearly intent on witnessing a good match (and a positive result for his country, I’m sure).
Just as he was going through a security check with everyone else, however, the police noticed something.
No, not a gun in his pants.
What they noticed, was that he looked really pretty for a guy. So pretty, in fact, that their next move was to ask him for his identification card.
And I’m not even making it up.
“When I was going into the stadium, the police didn’t believe that I was a man and asked for my Identification Card (MyKad),” he said.
“I had to prove my gender because, for safety purposes, the male police were doing a body check on male spectators and the female police were doing the same for women.”
And it’s not just the hairstyle
Some might argue;
He has long hair; of course, people are gonna think he’s a girl. Have you never seen Steven Lim in long hair?
*Sound of ovaries bursting everywhere*
But it seems that rather than the hairstyle…
It might just be his features. (I’m talking about Abdussalam, not Stevie L)
For once upon a time, he had actually adopted short hair… but he just ended up being a “tomboy”.
And who can blame them for guessing so, really?
Plus apparently, it’s not the facial hair either
After the young man’s picture was disclosed, Netizens started sitting up in attention. And I don’t blame them, because this dude can legitly give Song Joong Ki a run for his pretty money.
While some echoed sentiments that he’s indeed ‘very pretty’, one joked that perhaps, Abdusallam could grow a moustache and a goatie to look manly.
But in response, the young man expressed that he has already tried…
And just ended up looking like a catfish.
Which makes me wonder:
Is being born with elfin good looks a blessing, or a ‘curse’?
