News of people taking upskirt images have been peppering our Facebook newsfeed for a while now.
But this time, it’s a different story altogether.
Man Suspected of Taking Upskirt Videos Died After Being Detained by 5 Passers-By
Today (1 November 2019), at about noon, a 46-year-old man was suspected of taking upskirt videos of women at Little India MRT Station.

He was allegedly spotted and five people, whose genders are unknown, detained the man along Niven Road.

In other words, the suspect wasn’t detained at the spot when he committed the alleged crime; he was detained by the people a little distance away, along this road:
The authorities got a call at about 12.45pm and when they arrived at the scene, the suspect was found motionless.
The police said, “When the police officers arrived at the scene, the man was observed to be motionless and had no pulse
“Police officers performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation on the man until the arrival of SCDF paramedics.”
The man was then pronounced dead at the scene by a paramedic.
The death of the man is still unknown, and police investigations are still ongoing.

The case has been classified as an unnatural death.
One can only wonder how the five people, who had good intentions, would feel.
