When you head to the tattoo parlour to get some ink done, you’re taking a huge risk, in my opinion.
Yes, you could end up with a beautiful tattoo like this one:
But you could also get one like this:
Yes, you could end up with a portrait of yourself where you look like an incredibly filthy criminal who steals teeth.
That’s why I would never get one. I mean, what could you do if you don’t like how it turned out?
“Man Uses Cheese Grater To Scrape Tattoo Off Because He Didn’t Like How It Looked”
Oh. Well, I guess you could do that.
Removed tattoo because he wanted to join airport police
According to the Daily Mail, one man in Argentina decided to use a cheese grater to scrape the tattoo off of his skin.
Why?
The man got the tattoo in 2017 when he was 19 years old. However, a week later, he decided to join the airport police.
The police website did not specifically state that applicants couldn’t have any tattoos, but the man was under the impression that he would not be able to join the airport police with one.
So, he had two options:
- Ask the airport police if he could join with a tattoo
- Google it
So, naturally, he chose to use a cheese grater to scrape the tattoo off his skin instead.
The man searched YouTube for ways to remove his own tattoo. Because everyone knows that when it comes to instructions on invasive medical procedures, YouTube is the place to go.
One popular removal method is to use a pumice stone to rub the tattoo off one’s skin. Apparently, if you rub it a few times a day for a few days, it’ll eventually fade away.
There’s also the most common and more expensive method of laser removal. This is where laser light is applied to the tattooed area, absorbing the tattoo ink particles and leaving the surrounding skin tissue unharmed.
So, this Argentinian man had two options:
- Remove his tattoo gradually with a pumice stone
- Remove his tattoo with laser treatment
So, naturally, he chose to use a cheese grater to scrape the tattoo off his skin instead.
Why? We’re not entirely sure. Maybe he panicked and picked the first thing he laid eyes on. Thank goodness he wasn’t working in a nuclear plant.
Injuries
As you would have guessed, this wasn’t a pleasant experience for the man.
“It hurt and bled a lot. I had to bandage it a lot and apply disinfectant,” he said. “A week later I went to the hospital and had a tetanus vaccination.”
He also added that his family disagreed with his decision.
Moreover, after dealing with other personal issues the man decided not to join the airport police.
What!? All that pain for nothing.
“In that moment I regretted it, of course I did. But when I saw that it had gone a lot, I did not worry more. But I would not recommend it to anybody”, he added.
Well, I mean, OF COURSE.
While we’re not recommending things, I also do not recommend scalping yourself to get rid of a bad haircut.
