The 68-year-old had purchased a large amount of daily necessities and would frequently wait at the bus stop and village entrance without boarding any vehicles.

He would just look at the passengers in each vehicle.

Police visited the man’s home to investigate. They discovered he had misunderstood a short video on his phone.

The man believed a female live streamer’s video saying “Wait for me at home, I’ll come live with you” was specifically meant for him.

Police Intervention Resolves Misunderstanding

The elderly man had prepared extensively for his “wife’s” arrival. He bought fireworks and cooking utensils in anticipation. When questioned by officers, he explained: “I’m waiting for the wife the government assigned to me.”

Police patiently clarified the situation to the confused man. They explained how live streaming and short video platforms work. The man eventually understood his mistake.
