No matter who you are, as long as you’ve lived on the planet for a considerable amount of time, something embarrassing will certainly happen to you.
Whether it’s accidentally farting on a first date, slipping and falling in public, or pooping your pants during a meeting with your boss after eating 3 McSpicys, we’d rather quickly move past such mortifying incidents.
Reader: That last one was oddly specific.
I just like my articles to be detailed.
While some of us would die of shame if these embarrassing moments were captured on camera, others are brave enough to share these incidents for the world to see.
Man Posted Video of Himself Walking Into Glass Door in His Own Bukit Batok Home; Got Over 2k Shares
A man walked into a glass door in his own home at Bukit Batok recently.
This wouldn’t normally make front-page news, but if you watch a video capturing the incident, you’d see why so many netizens were amused.
The Facebook user, Xin Xun Ying, had installed a glass door between the kitchen and living room of his flat.
Even though glass doors can fool cats, dogs, and the smartest of humans, Ying’s family has never had any accidents since it was installed three years ago.
But an incident on Sunday (27 Dec) changed that statistic.
Ying shared two CCTV clips on Facebook of him walking into the glass door shortly after his brother had closed it.
The post has since gone viral, garnering over 2,400 shares.
The first clip starts out with Ying’s brother exiting the kitchen and closing the glass door. Anticipatory laughs could be heard in the video, as Ying and his family were watching a clip of the amusing incident.
Like two actors in a dramatic play, Ying enters the living room as his brother exits it and goes into his room.
The laughs get louder, and we get to the crucial moment.
Ying is clearly headed for his kitchen, but he seems to have forgotten that he’s had a glass door in his flat for the last three years as he walks straight into it with a loud bang.
The laughter at this point is so infectious you’ll be compelled to at least crack a smile.
He then staggers backward and bends over with pain, holding his poor forehead.
The sound of the impact was so loud that it drew Ying’s family members out of their room, and after a few seconds of concern, they too, started laughing.
Mild Injury
While this incident was rather chucklesome, it must have caused Ying some pain, as the loud bang of the impact from the second CCTV clip will tell you.
Fortunately, Ying’s injury was a mild one, as he only suffered swelling on his forehead.
To prevent such painfully funny incidents from happening in the future, Ying’s wife “immediately” ordered decorative stickers for the glass door, according to Mothership.
Ying also reminded other residents with glass or transparent doors to be careful.
Ying said he put up the two clips on Facebook so “everyone can laugh together”.
What a good sport.
