Have you, or your mama, bought any kaya recently?
Specifically from Frezfrut?
If you did, it might be good to check the expiry date of your purchase.

PSA: Frezfrut Kaya Recalled Due To Pest Droppings
It was announced by the Agri-Food & Veterinary Authority (AVA) that the importer of Frezfrut Natural Goodness Kaya has recalled a batch of products.
Frezfrut Natural Goodness Kaya was iniformed about a “foreign particle” within its bottle of kaya.
When AVA and the importer investigated the feedback, they found that the bottle of kaya could’ve been contaminated with pest dropping during the manufacturing process.
So just to be on the safe side, they are recalling the specific batch of Frezfrut Natural Goodness Kaya.
The affected batch has a Use By Date of 5 Feb 2020, so make sure you check it before eating.

And, of course, don’t eat it if yours happened to be from that batch.

Monetary Authority of S’pore: More Phishing Attempts in The First Week of May
If you don’t know what phishing is, it basically means getting users to input sensitive details into a fake website, made to look like the real deal.
And the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) says that it has seen a rise in the number of phishing attempts over the past week.
The emails will look like they’re sent from banks and ask users to update personal details. Some will even say it’s a requirement set by MAS.
If you’ve received such emails, you should report them to the bank immediately.

Banks are also required to remove phishing websites and alert users about any phishing attempts to protect them.
And remember, always check the URL of any link you’re directed to. Even better, just go to browser and log in to your account, not click on the link in the email.
Remember, these websites might look a lot like the original ones, so always ensure that the URL is correct.
Stay safe, people.
Kusu Beaches & Lagoon Closed After Asbestos Found
If you didn’t know, more than half of St John’s island is closed off to visitors after debris with asbestos was found.
Now, almost a month after St John’s island, another island is closed off as well.
The Singapore Land Authority (SLA) said that the beaches and lagoons are closed to the public after they found debris with traces of asbestos there.
However, because the debris are limited to these places, the island’s other main attractions like the Tua Pek Kong temple, wishing well, tortoise sanctuary, temporary hawker centre and jetty are not affected.

Asbestos removal works will be completed by October.
The SLA and other agencies decided to conduct checks on other islands after asbestos was detected on St John’s island.

Early detection can help the authorities with better case management. Also, infected people can put on insect repellent so other uninfected mosquitoes will not bite them, and pick up the disease.
Late NSF Guardsman’s Mother Calls For ‘Outdated’ Tekan Sessions To Be Removed
If my son has to be sacrificed to bring a message across, make sure it’s one that make changes to seemingly perfect training systems.
Madam Jasmine Yeo, mother of Dave Lee, said that tekan, or punishment sessions in the military has to be stopped.
She also said that heatstroke kills, so it shouldn’t be taken lightly.
She also had a message for the military commanders: “At all times, your mission is to train soldiers against enemies. And most importantly, for them to return home safe and sound to their loved ones.”
Madam Yeo also met with his platoon mates a day before the funeral service.
She told them that she lost a son, but she now has many sons, whom she hope will protect her in place of Dave.
She urge them to focus on training hard as per normal after this period of grief, and to contact their parents more as they are now more worried about their sons.
And to stay safe.
Dave’s aunts, on the other hand, are demanding for a full explanation from the investigation into the death of their nephew.
A Committee of Inquiry (COI) was convened to investigate the case. In addition, the police are conducting their own investigations into the death of CFC Dave Lee as well.
The “reserved seat” has been abused by people who seek validation in their lives. Agree or disagree?
