There are some things in life that you will simply never see:
- Donald Trump admitting a mistake
- Singaporeans staying at home the day bubble tea stores reopen
- A man in a suit eating a Prata at the coffee shop
- An empty McDonald’s
- A dog walking its owner
- A nice cat
Personally, I never thought I’d see a Maserati at an HDB car park because I always thought Maserati owners would be too busy sipping expensive wine in their multi-million dollar mansions while getting a foot massage from their android slaves.
But this, as I’ve recently learned, is not the case.
Man Caught on Camera Just Wrecking a Parked Maserati in AMK in an HDB Carpark
A masked man was caught on camera wrecking a parked Maserati with a metal object on 9 May.
The luxury car was parked at an HDB carpark near Block 538 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 10 and the incident occurred around 5.30am.
Subha, the owner of the Maserati, shared footage of the incident captured on her car’s dashboard camera with Stomp.
At the start of the video, a black Lexus driving past the Maserati abruptly stops after passing the luxury car.
It’s almost as if the Lexus itself couldn’t believe its eyes.
The driver of the Lexus then reverses, and one man with a face mask exits and starts talking to someone next to the Maserati in a rather angry manner.
About 20 seconds later, another man who’s fully masked appears. (This could be the first man, but it’s hard to tell)

He walks around the car for a few seconds, presumably to check if the coast is clear, before Hulk-smashing the bonnet of the Maserati with a metal object.
Not satisfied with that, the man smashes the windshield of the car, too.
The video ends there, but photos of the damaged car indicate that the car-abuser struck the windshield more than once.
Ok, “more than once” may be an understatement.
As you can see, the windshield is shattered in numerous places and there are several dents on the car.
This Maserati must be wondering what the hell it did to deserve such a beating.
Maserati: It’s not nice to be woken up like that
I’m sure it’s not.
“Heard a Loud Noise”
The owner of the damaged car said she “heard a loud noise” early in the morning at 5.30 am.
“After 15 minutes, the police came up to my home and knocked on my door, asking me if I’m aware that my Maserati has been damaged.
“They asked me to come down to identify my car.”
Imagine spending so much money on a car only to see it wrecked like that. Your heart and your bank account will both be drowning in a puddle of their own tears.
Police investigations are ongoing.
Stop Abusing People… And Other Things
At a time when so many violent crimes are being committed, I never thought I’d have to urge the public not to whack random cars in car parks, but times have changed, and Maseratis have been destroyed.
Please do not take your frustrations out on other people, cars, or other inanimate objects which do not belong to you. Try deep breaths and watching some cute cat videos on YouTube instead.
The world would be a much better place if everyone did that.
