Murder Investigation at Sukhumvit Hotel Room
Police officers from Thonglor Police Station received a report of a murdered woman at a 50-story hotel on Sukhumvit Soi 39, at 6:20 pm on 26 March.
The victim was later identified as 30-year-old Prao-Pilas from Khon Kaen province, Thailand.
Investigators, alongside forensic doctors from Chulalongkorn Hospital, forensic evidence officials, and Po Tek Tung Foundation volunteers, discovered her body in the bathroom of the hotel room.
The body was wrapped in two layers – a blanket and a bed sheet – and was unclothed. There were also visible wounds and blood on the head.
When examining the victim’s belongings, her friends noted that a luxury brand handbag and an expensive watch were missing from the room.
The officials have collected the remaining items as evidence.
Police interviewed Ms Suthida Lueamsai, 31, from Khon Kaen, who first discovered the body, and Ms Emwika Makthi, 34, from Mahasarakham, who reported the incident.
The two friends stated they had been unable to contact Prao-Pilas since Monday evening, 24 March.

On 25 March at approximately 3:15 PM, Daniel left the room carrying a piece of luggage, then exited the building with his belongings and departed in a black Mercedes-Benz.
Ms Suthida revealed that Prao-Pilas had been dating the 32-year-old Singaporean man.
She added that although Instagram photos portrayed a loving relationship between Prao-Pilas and Daniel, the victim had told friends that she frequently argued with her boyfriend and was regularly physically abused by him.
