“Maradona beef” has officially arrived in Singapore, and no, it is not merely a dish given a football-themed name.
Maradona Beef is a premium Argentine Angus brand developed by Argentine beef producer Entre Todos in partnership with the family of late football legend Diego Maradona.
According to CNA Lifestyle, L’Antica Pizzeria Da Michele at Club Street is the first restaurant in Singapore to serve the beef.
Its limited-time menu will be available until 4 September 2026, while stocks last.
Three Maradona Beef Dishes Are Available
Da Michele Singapore has created three dishes featuring the beef.
The Golden Boot Tartare combines beef tenderloin with capers, a lemon dressing and greens.
Meanwhile, the World Cup Ziti Genovese features pasta served with beef and onions that have been slowly cooked together.
Those who prefer pizza can order the Scudetto Pizza, which comes topped with thinly sliced Maradona beef tenderloin, fior di latte cheese, porcini mushrooms and truffle cream.
The football references are clearly not subtle. Then again, putting “Maradona” on the menu and acting low-key about it would probably be harder.
Why a Neapolitan Pizzeria Is Serving It
The partnership makes more sense when you look at the histories of Maradona and Da Michele.
L’Antica Pizzeria Da Michele originated in Naples, where Maradona remains an icon after leading SSC Napoli to its first two Serie A championships.
CNA Lifestyle reported that Maradona also visited the original pizzeria, although the story that his favourite table is marked there remains a rumour.
The Singapore restaurant opened in 2024 and was Da Michele’s first location in the Asia-Pacific region, according to its official website.
Maradona Beef is being imported into Singapore by food supplier Classic Fine Foods.
The special menu is available at L’Antica Pizzeria Da Michele, located at 8 Club Street, #01-08.
