McDonald’s continues to catch our attention like no other. Many have eagerly anticipated trying their latest release of the Sweet ‘N Sour Burgers and Pineapple Coconut Frappe, which is inspired by one of our local delights, sweet and sour pork.
As if that weren’t delightful enough, there’s even more to look forward to.
On 4 January, McDonald’s made the exciting announcement that colour changing cups are now available, proving its ingenuity within the fast-food industry.
Yes, you read that correctly – colour changing cups.
The cup changes colour gradually as the drink fills the cup. I’m sure this exclusive collection will excite everyone, regardless of age.
This is certainly an upgrade from their iconic collection of Coca-Cola glasses that used to grace almost every household.
Colour Changing Cups Take Tik Tok by the Storm
These cups initially made their debut in the Philippines in November 2023 and quickly gone viral in other countries.
The cups in the Philippines featured a range of colours, including charcoal, red, yellow, green, blue, and pink. Unsurprisingly, these cups garnered a lot of attention on social media platforms.
In fact, a TikTok video showcasing the cup garnered a whopping 13 million views with many viewers expressing their hopes for it to be released in their own countries.

Apart from the Philippines, it appears that McDonald’s Singapore is currently the only other country to release these exclusive cups. We can consider ourselves lucky!
