Mediacorp Employee Arrested for Alleged Voyeurism After Being Caught in Women’s Restroom

Mediacorp has dismissed a male employee after he was found behaving suspiciously in a women’s restroom at the company’s premises.

The man was terminated immediately following the discovery.

In a statement on Tuesday (10 June 2025), the company said, “The safety and well-being of our employees are extremely important to us. We are committed to maintaining a safe and respectful workplace.”

Police Investigation Ongoing

Mediacorp confirmed that the matter has been referred to the police. The former employee has been detained for further investigation.

Mediacorp is Singapore’s largest content producer and national media network. It is also the parent company of 8world News.

Voyeurism Case Reported

Responding to media queries, police said they received a report of voyeurism at around 2:00pm on the same day.

“A 28-year-old man was arrested in connection with the case. Investigations are ongoing,” authorities said.

The suspect may face charges related to the alleged offence. Mediacorp has not revealed further details about his role or length of employment.

Under Singapore law, voyeurism is a serious offence punishable by up to two years’ imprisonment, a fine, caning, or a combination of these penalties.
