Love going to Japanese grocery stores because they carry all the Japanese ingredients you can’t find anywhere else?
Well, then you best be prepared to head down to Millenia walk where MEIDI-YA is having their grand opening on 28 Nov 2020.
Millenia Walk’s Latest Addition
Millenia Walk has just gotten less boring with the opening of Meidi-ya’s newest outlet.
The Meidi-ya outlet at Millenia Walk is the largest in Singapore, and it’s also considered as the Japanese grocery chain’s flagship store.
Since the soft launch, many people have turned up to take a look at the latest exciting development in town, according to 8Days.
Occupying multiple levels, the first floor has an 88-seat Japanese cafe-bar with both indoor and outdoor spaces to dine at.
The bakery and food hall are also on the first level while the main supermarket is upstairs.
According to Meidi-ya’s managing director, Nagoshi Shuji, customers can expect a more extensive range of premium products at the outlet.
From region-specialised products to premium Japanese produce, like mini Naganuma ice-cream tubs, ready-to-eat corn cob and even “Tokyo-standard sashimi and sushi”, you can spend hours exploring the area and not be bored.
Things To Look Out For
Currently, the first level of the outlet features Hokkaido-imported products like the famous Shiroi Koibito biscuits, Basque cheesecakes, chocolate mochi, and soft serves.
Prices start at $4.80 each for the soft serve.
The food hall also provides authentic Japanese food items including bento sets, sashimi and sushi that are “Tokyo-standard” and more.
The best part? They’re celebrating the grand opening the only way businesses know how to: by giving you a lot of free stuff.
