Men, 63 and 68, Arrested After Violent Brawl Erupts at Telok Blangah Food Centre

Two middle-aged men were arrested after a physical altercation broke out at Telok Blangah Crescent Market and Food Centre on 24 Nov 2025.

Police were alerted to the fight at Block 11 Telok Blangah Crescent at 5:25pm.

The two men, aged 63 and 68, were subsequently arrested for affray.

Fight Captured on Video at Fried Rice Stall

A video of the incident was shared to Facebook on 25 Nov and quickly went viral.

The video showed a man in a white shirt charging at another man in a black shirt who was armed with what appears to be a wooden stick.

The altercation took place in front of a fried rice stall at the food centre.

In the footage, the man in black swung the stick while the man in white responded with punches.

The man in black fell from the impact and landed at the stall entrance. The man in white then attempted to disarm him but failed.

As the man in black tried to stand up, he took several punches to the face and fell back down.

A third man wearing a cap then stepped in to separate the fighting duo.

The man in white backed off and threw his glasses on a table.

The two men then had a brief standoff on opposite sides of the table, with the man in white grabbing a plastic chair.

With the mediator’s efforts, both men eventually left the venue separately.

The man who intervened was a member of the public.

Stall Owner Shares Details About the Incident

The stall owner told Shin Min Daily News that he believes both men know each other, as they were sitting together in the food centre before the fight.

He did not recognise them as they were not regulars at the food centre.

At some point, the stall owner heard the men arguing with each other.

One of the men insulted the other in dialect, and then the fight started.

The owner asked the two men to stop fighting, and they left before police arrived.

After the fight, police interviewed the stall owner as part of investigations.

He handed over his stall’s CCTV footage to them.

He also had to wash bloodstains from the fight off his stall floor.

One Man Hospitalised, Police Investigations Ongoing

The 68-year-old man was conveyed conscious to the hospital.
