Usually, one wouldn’t exactly pay heed to such “grand-scale” fortune-telling notions. For obvious reasons, really. But here’s the thing;
The fortune-teller in question is none other than French philosopher Michel de Nostradamus, whose track record has apparently been rather stellar in nature.
Nostradamus, who passed in 1566, has a real knack for nailing calamitous events through his “Les Prophéties”: a compilation of poetic quatrains. Apart from the French Revolution, the renaissance-era seer has also hinted at major events such as the creation of the atomic bomb and the 11 September terrorists’ attacks.
He also seems to have caught on to the Covid-19 pandemic, having alluded to it in one of his writings.
So little wonder why his predictions for 2021 would be taken seriously…
Even if he did, somehow, insinuate an imminent zombie apocalypse in 2021.
Michel de Nostradamus: There Would be A Zombie Apocalypse Caused by Russia in 2021
Nostradamus has prophesied a dire 2021 – a year that may well make 2020 look like a year of sunshine and rainbows if his foretold events come to pass.
For starters, a Russian scientist will successfully develop a biological weapon in 2021, and create a virus that morphs humankind into zombies.
“Few young people: half-dead to give a start,” Nostradamus mentioned in his writing. “Dead through spite, he will cause the others to shine.”
Due to the virus, humanity will be left extinct within the near future.
“Fathers and mothers dead of infinite sorrows / Women in mourning, the pestilent she−monster: / The Great One to be no more, all the world to end,” the philosopher preached in an ominous manner.
I can totally see where Resident Evil got its inspiration from.

Secondly, Nostradamus predicted that 2021 will be even more destructive than 2020, as Earth begins to show signs of its imminent end: famine, earthquakes, varying illnesses and epidemics.
“After great trouble for humanity, a greater one is prepared,” Nostradamus wrote. “The Great Mover renews the ages: / Rain, blood, milk, famine, steel, and plague, / Is the heavens fire seen, a long spark running.”
According to New York Post, the UN has warned of food insecurity in 2021. The declaration comes after this year’s pandemic – which caused millions of Americans to seek help from food banks.
Several new strains of the Coronavirus have also been reported, with the UK vein being the most worrisome in recent times.
Due to climate changes, natural disasters have also become more prevalent than before.
Thirdly, Nostradamus hinted at the presence of an asteroid – one that would enter Earth’s atmosphere and burst into flames.
“In the sky, one sees fire and a long trail of sparks,” he wrote.
It should be noted that just days ago, on Christmas day, a huge asteroid shot past our planet.
The space rock, while is roughly as long as two football fields, was categorised as “potentially hazardous” due to its proximity to Earth – which was observed to be within 1.9 million miles.
And earlier in November, a pickup-size asteroid whizzed by our planet around 250 miles over the southern Pacific, on Friday the 13th.
According to NASA, an asteroid termed the “2009 KF1” may hit Earth on 6th May 2021.
The asteroid is allegedly capable of hitting our planet with 230 kilotons of TNT explosive force – 15 times more potent than the nuclear bomb that was set off over Hiroshima in 1945.
In other words, it’s more than capable of destroying an entire region.
Apart from the aforementioned predictions, Nostradamus also conjectured the following notions:
- Pope Francis will bring people closer to the Church
- Muslims will rise as the leaders of the world
- A terrifying earthquake will ruin California
- Solar storms, which will damage the Earth and indirectly lead to numerous wars and conflicts
- American soldiers will be equipped with brain chip implants to save mankind
Grain Of Salt
Though Nostradamus’s writings may seem particularly ominous, it should be noted that his writings are rather vague, as historians have often mentioned in the past.
His hints may also lead to nowhere at times.
So rather than worry about the new year, I think we should just take Nostradamus’ predictions with a grain of salt and proceed on with a positive mindset.
After all, there are lots of things to look forward to in 2021.
P.s. Meanwhile, let me just get Don Lee real quick.
