Imagine this: One day, you’re seated alone at a coffee shop when a lady asked to share a table with you.

The two of you hit it off and thereafter, she even started sending good morning messages to you.

Except, she didn’t approach you by chance. She had an ulterior motive in getting close to you.

While this might sound like a premise for spy movies like the Bourne Identity, the truth is, it allegedly happened in Singapore.

At Chinatown, to be exact.

Woman Borrowed Man’s Phone to Make a Call

According to Lianhe Zaobao, a man was having his meal at Chinatown food centre when a lady requested to share a table with him.

And despite our usual experiences (or is it just mine?), it wasn’t the awkward type of situation where one party tries to finish as fast as possible.

A conversation soon started between them.

In fact, it seems to be going so well that when the man stood up to get himself a drink, he asked if the lady wanted one as well.

She did, for the record.

It was while they were drinking and chatting when the lady started panicking.

She claimed that she couldn’t find her phone and asked if she could borrow his phone to make a call to her own mobile.

He agreed and in the end, they realised the phone was in her bag all along.

Lady Started Messaging Man

A day later, the man received a text message from a stranger.

Turns out, it was the lady who shared a table with him.

When asked how she got his number, she reminded him about the phone call she made to her own mobile.

The woman also reportedly got into the habit of sending “good morning messages” daily.

Now, you’re thinking, is this the making of a relationship?

Well, that’s what the lady is probably thinking of although, it might not be the type you’re thinking of.

Offers Massage Services

In her text messages, the woman says that she came to Singapore from overseas and is all alone here.

She also told him that she offers massage services and asks if he would be interested in her service.

If he is, he can come over to her accommodation for her services.

With that, the man was no longer interested.

However, the lady was still reportedly sending “good morning messages” even after her motives were revealed.

Rumours have it that till today, the man receives “Good Morning Messages” every. Single. Morning.
