We’ve heard of all sorts of Tinder horror stories from our friends. Unfortunately, these Tinder horror stories still aren’t the worst romance horror stories out there.

63-Year-Old Man Stabbed and Slashed Ex-Mistress’s New Boyfriend; Punched Ex-Mistress Until She Fell Into the Drain
On Thursday (23 January), 63-year-old Wang Yingxiu (hanyu pinyin) pleaded guilty to one charge of attempted murder and one charge of voluntarily causing hurt. He has three other charges against him to be taken into consideration for sentencing.
But, what exactly happened that led him to have these charges against him? Well, it all started with an affair he had from 2019 to 2021.
According to Shin Min Daily News, back in 2019, Wang started having an extra-marital affair with a 42-year-old woman.
Initially, Wang did not inform his mistress that he was a married man. However, Wang’s mistress eventually found out and confronted him about it. In response, Wang lied and told his mistress that he had signed a separation agreement with his wife.
You would have thought that the 42-year-old mistress would have broken up with Wang at this juncture. Yet, she didn’t. Instead, she only broke up with him later in April 2021 because she buey tahan his gambling habits.
And this was where things started to head downhill. While the 63-year-old was unwilling to break up with his mistress, his mistress had moved on quickly — shortly after the break up, Wang’s mistress had found a new 52-year-old boyfriend.
Suffice it to say, Wang wasn’t all too happy about this. Approximately two months after the two broke up, on 12 June 2021, at 9:20 pm, Wang decided to head to Block 407, Choa Chu Kang Avenue 3, in an attempt to get back together with his now ex-mistress.
Presumably, that was his ex-mistress’s place of residence.
Yet, instead of leaving the HDB block with his ex-mistress’s hand in his, the 63-year-old left the HDB block with blood on his hands.
Wang’s ex-mistress had showed up at the block with her new boyfriend. Upon seeing this, Wang took out a knife from a plastic bag and rushed towards his ex-mistress’s new boyfriend.
He stabbed and slashed his ex-mistress’s new boyfriend, causing him such severe injuries that he had to undergo surgery for his wounds.
When Wang’s ex-mistress tried to defend her new boyfriend from Wang’s attacks, Wang punched her, causing her to fall into a nearby drain.
Beyond just being a Crimewatch episode, this could probably be the plot to a C-drama.
63-Year-Old Threatened to Beat and Stab Ex-Mistress After the Break Up
But that’s not all there is to the story. After Wang’s mistress broke up with him, Wang allegedly continued approaching her multiple times in a bid to get back together.
For instance, one month after the break up, Wang met his ex-mistress to pass her a gift. A few days afterwards, he called his ex-mistress and asked to get back together. When she refused, he threatened to beat and stab her.
And that, my friends, is when you know you should be making a police report and cutting off contact with a person.
Unfortunately for the ex-mistress, that was far from the last she would hear from Wang.
The next month, Wang once again met his ex-mistress. This time, he assaulted her in a car. After learning that his ex-mistress now had a new boyfriend, he told her: “Which nearby HDB block is the highest? I want to die with you, and jump off the block with you.”
A few days later, he also sent a photo of a knife to his ex-mistress.
Suddenly, it doesn’t seem so bad when an ex simply “ghosts” you after a break up.
63-Year-Old Allegedly Suffers From An Adjustment Disorder
So, now that the 63-year-old has pleaded guilty to his charges, what’s next?
According to Shin Min Daily News, the 63-year-old is allegedly diagnosed with an adjustment disorder. A doctor called by the defence had testified to the 63-year-old’s disorder, stating that the disorder had contributed to the 63-year-old carrying out the acts which made up his charges.
When Wang committed the crimes, he allegedly had multiple sources of stress in his life. This included his brother’s death in 2021, his mistress breaking up with him, as well as some financial difficulties. Wang allegedly also had poor sleep, reduced appetite, and suicidal thoughts at the time.
So, what’s your take on the 63-year-old’s actions?
