Steak is often expensive—Wagyu steak, even more so.
Award-winning Halal eatery Molten Diners, however, has presented us with an affordable option. The restaurant is offering a 1-for-1 promotion for its Wagyu steak for the month of June, before it closes for good on 29 June.
Molten Diners Announces Closure
The promotion was announced in a Facebook post by the eatery.
According to the post, the promotion will last throughout June while stocks last.
In that post, however, Molten Diners also announced its closure—its last day of operations will be 29 June.
“All good things come to an end as we look forward to serving all of you for the last time at Molten Diners,” the eatery wrote. “Thank you all for your unwavering support over the years”.
1-For-1 For Wagyu Steak And Any Other Item At Molten Diners
In light of their closure, Molten Diners offered patrons what they dubbed the “greatest deal of all time”, a 1-for-1 special promotion for their Wagyu steak.
The steak is priced at S$78.90, according to their online order portal, and comes with a gratin macaroni and cheese, curly fries, creamed corn and vegetables.
Upon purchasing it, diners can obtain any other item on the menu for free, including another Wagyu steak.
The promotion will save you a hefty $78.90, if you choose to buy two steaks.
If you’d rather go for variety, the menu sports a myriad of other dishes to choose from. You can pick from fish, chicken, burgers, pasta, rice, lamb and other steaks—the extensive menu will leave you spoilt for choice.
The eatery is also Halal, so Muslims can enjoy the promotion too.
Other Promotions At Molten Diners
Apart from the 1-for-1 special, other promotions are also available.
Molten Diners delivers islandwide, and offers free delivery on all orders exceeding $100.
If you pick your order up by yourself from their outlet at Upper Thomson, you can enjoy a 30% discount on your whole order—with the current promotion, two Wagyu steaks will cost you just $55.23.
According to their social media posts, the eatery also does not charge GST or a service charge, so the prices listed are final.
Molten Diners Won Awards in 2020
Through its run, the eatery has won its fair share of accolades, including three awards at the Halal Awards 2020.
The awards were open to all businesses in the Halal Industry, and winners were identified through votes from the public.
That year, Molten Diners was a runner-up in the categories of Best Halal Restaurant and Best Halal Dessert, and clinched first place in the category of Best Halal Steak.
If you’d like to visit the eatery and enjoy the promotion before it closes its doors for good, it’s located at 246 Upper Thomson Road, a short walk from the Upper Thomson MRT station.
It’s open from Monday to Sunday, though its opening hours differ—on Mondays to Fridays, it’s open from 11am to 11pm, while on weekends and public holidays, it’s open from 10am to 11pm.
You can book a reservation through their website if you’d like to secure a place.
