If you’ve been chasing after Running Man since its inception, you’ll be familiar with the cast of the show: Song Ji Hyo, Haha, Lee Kwang Soo, Yoo Jae-suk, Kim Jong-kook, Ji Suk-jin and Gary.
You’ll especially love the Monday couple because they never fail to bring laughter to us at every episode. Even when they “broke up”.
Gary is Leaving Running Man for Good
Back in 2012, he made an announcement that he was going to leave the show but then took his words back. He apologised by giving the members apple juice, with “apple” in Korean translating to sagwa, or apology.

But it’s for real this time.
The Reason Behind His Departure
He wants to give more time and attention to music and focus on his main field as a musician.
When asked for their comments, the producer of this well-loved Korean variety show stated that they respect his decision and “appreciate him for his great effort as an original member of Running Man for 7 years”.
He will record his last show with Running Man on 31 October 2016 and the show will carry on without Gary from November onward.
