A 55-year-old woman died in a tragic road accident after the motorcycle she was riding pillion on collided with a car door along Jalan Ipoh, Kuala Lumpur.
The incident occurred near the Batu 5 traffic light junction on 16 Jun 2025. The woman was travelling with her 20-year-old son.
Car Door Opens, Triggers Fatal Chain Reaction
The motorcycle was heading from Jalan Ipoh towards the Kepong Roundabout when a 35-year-old man suddenly opened the door of his parked Toyota Vios.

Kuala Lumpur Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Zamzuri Mohd Isa said the son had no time to react and crashed into the car door.
The impact threw the woman into the right lane where she was tragically run over by a passing lorry. The collision involved three vehicles in total.
Police received reports of the incident at 1:45 PM. The accident occurred at around 12:20 PM according to initial reports.
Mother Dies at Hospital, Son Sustains Minor Injuries
Both victims were rushed to Hospital Kuala Lumpur for emergency treatment.
The 55-year-old woman succumbed to her injuries. Her son sustained minor injuries to his hands, feet, legs and arms.
Police are investigating the case under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for causing death by dangerous driving.
