Motorcyclist Missed Being Hit by Inches After Car Crashed into Opposite Lane in Yishun

For the longest time, Yishun has had to deal with the stigma of being an ‘outcast’ in the nation. Meaning to say;

It’s a town that’s more associated with the weird, supernatural and unluckiness than anything else.

And yet we’ve always wondered;

Surely there’s some saving grace left, for an area that has been maligned for far too long?

Well, though this hardly counts as a full-fledged redemption, it appears that Yishun is nowhere as unlucky as it’s often portrayed to be.

Or at least, some of those going through its vicinity aren’t.

Motorcyclist Missed Being Hit by Inches After Car Crashed into Opposite Lane in Yishun

One particular motorcyclist found himself fractions of a second away from certain demise, when flying chunks of metal flew from the opposite lane of the road.

The harrowing incident was captured on footage, which has since been shared by Facebook page ROADS.sg.

According to the video, the motorcyclist could be seen minding his own business on the road when a driver from the opposite lane suddenly crashed through the railing.

Apparently, the latter had lost control of a multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) while negotiating a bend, and ended up crashing into the other lane.

Due to the impact, the railing went flying. And so has the vehicle.

At this point, you can’t help but worry about the hapless driver, who was evidently caught in between.

But due to some incredible stroke of luck, the motorcyclist managed to escape unscathed.

And to add on to the incredulity of the situation, the man drove on without seeming to break a sweat…

Almost as if he was unaware that he had escaped from certain danger by the thinnest of seconds.

But well, simply seems to be a day’s work for the very lucky man – a notion that has not gone unnoticed by Netizens.

Meanwhile, some commenters were not shy to express their disapproval towards the errant driver.

One, however, noted the placement of the corner.

With another classifying the three types of people present in the video.

Well, that certainly sounds accurate enough.

According to ROADS.sg, the incident occurred along Yishun Dam on 22 November, at around 8:00 a.m.

Though such lucky instances aren’t exactly prevalent on a day-to-day basis, they have occurred enough to be posted within entire compilation videos on the net.
