Emily’s husband was one of the first to dedicate a post in remembrance of her.

On his social media account, he wrote:

Yes, I’m a wood block person, I don’t know how to express my love for you. Today I want the world to know my sincerity and commitment to you. It was such an honour to be your husband. In life, you were a Christian role model. I really underestimated you and thought you were a simple-minded girl. I later found out I had married a remarkable angel. I want to share my joy with you. You must be watching through Jesus’ television.

You can rest assured today; I did not tease you or make fun of you. What I said were words from my heart. If you don’t believe me, then dig my heart out to see. Haha, you were very cute, gentle, silly, stubborn. You would think you were right when you were wrong. Haha, couldn’t help criticising you.

But the peace wouldn’t last.

Based on the screenshot, this is what he had to say about Kong’s accident:

Condolences… I hope all the girls learn a good lesson now. Never leave the pub without a guy… Man and woman work together.. We offer you a safe drive home and you give us makeout or sex… I mean girls like sex too right… This is what happens when women think they can do everything on their own and be independent… Every woman needs men.

Downright disgusting and rude.

Many were enraged

With a comment like that, he became viral in no time and was rebuked by many.

Recently discovered to be a student from the International Medical University (IMU) in Malaysia, Kiren Raj stood by his belief when other netizens condemned him.

He insisted that women are bad drivers and they need men to drive them (around) or accompany them.

International Medical University (IMU) intervenes

News spread like wildfire and IMU’s vice-chancellor Professor Peter Pook caught wind of it.

In his comment on Facebook, he wrote that he had been in contact with Kiren Raj to request that he “withdraw his comments” and apologize.

In addition, he apologised to everyone and said that the school is still discussing the actions to be taken.

A petition was made: “Stop Kiren Raj”

Following the uproar online, Evan Han Sen started a Change.org petition, “Stop Kiren Raj” which has received support from 42,000 people. The petition directed at IMU was to prevent Kiren Raj from becoming a doctor.

In response to the petition, IMU took to Facebook to state that they will “attend to this matter internally” and will not make any further statements.

Kiren Made a Public “Apology”

Though the medium with which he posted his apology is unknown, Says has reported that Kiren has issued a public apology directed at “women in general and whomever else who feels offended for whatever reason”.

In his “apology”, he stated:

To clarify, anybody who has or is in an open relationship would understand that this is a normal happening. We go out at night with a special person for drinking and we drop them home safely. We send them home. We protect them. And if they invite us to their place we go and be with them. We kiss, we bond and we have sex. Our role is to protect them. In return, they give us a good surprise.

I forgive those who made this viral despite me removing the comments. I forgive all the hate shown towards me or my acquaintance. I forgive all the vulgar messages I received. And because I forgive, I have not been affected by this at all.

Your hatred has not got to me. I also forgive those instigating by misrepresenting the comments to get more likes. This is a social media disease.

Lastly, he finished off with “Let me be the bigger man here and not stoop to profanity or low level of language.”

Fascinating.
