I’m sure we’ve all encountered a situation where you forgot your house keys and ended up being locked out of your own house before someone else came home to unlock it for you.

But yes, I’m sure none of us have tried breaking into our own homes and instead either waited it out or hung out at a nearby mall.
But this 11-year-old boy from Malaysia forgot his keys and tried to enter his home from the second-floor balcony, only to have it end very badly.

What Happened
The boy returned to his second-floor apartment unit at Kuarters Bombas Pangsapuri Setia Wira, Teman Perai Utama, Bukit Mertajam on 29 November.
When he wanted to unlock his house door, he realised that something was missing – his house keys.
Knowing that he wouldn’t be able to get in because his mother had left for her job as a cashier at 9.30am and his step-father had gone to the nearby surau for a programme, he decided that he would try to enter his home and into the kitchen via the second-floor balcony.
It seemed like it was all going to be okay but then he slipped and ended up falling face down onto the hard concrete ground.
The impact caused him to lose consciousness almost immediately as he continued to bleed out on the ground.
Aftermath
The boy was rushed to Sebarang Jaya Hospital before being transferred to Penang Hospital. Sadly, as of now, the boy is still unconscious and in a coma.
Sometimes, we may forget things, like our house keys, but in no way is it worth risking our lives to get back into our house. Kids may be more prone to attempting these actions, thinking that they will be fine, so it is up to us adults to educate them and tell them the consequences of such actions.
We hope that he has a speedy recovery and will wake up soon from this. We also hope that his family will be able to get through this trying time.

Hopefully, others would take this as a learning lesson and not attempt the same thing when they get locked out of their own house.
