The unfortunate circumstances have inevitably led to casualties and injuries. On 4 December, World of Buzz reported an incident involving a young boy from Terengganu.

The boy had fallen into a comatose state after a leech unsuspectingly slid into the boy’s anus as he was playing with floodwaters.

Condition Was Unknown

A Facebook post from a user by the name of Ermawati Ali has called out for the thoughts and prayers of other netizens.

The post suggested that the boy had been admitted to the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit. It was also mentioned that he was in a critical state as a result of blood loss from the leeches that had entered his body.

The family had been unaware of the boy’s condition. It was only when he started vomiting blood that they sensed that something was wrong.

The boy was immediately rushed to the hospital. The leeches have since been extracted from the boy’s body.

However, he remains in a comatose state.

It is indeed unfortunate that an innocent act as small as simply playing around have led to severe consequences for the boy and his family. As of now, there have not been any updates on the boy’s condition.

This piece of news goes out as a reminder to parents. Please be cautious of the areas where your kids are playing. Especially if it is anywhere that might be infested with pests like leeches.

Take careened stay safe, folks! We also extend our thoughts to the family of the victim.
