Being followed is a scary feeling especially when it is dark and you are alone.
Fortunately for a Malaysian girl, she was quick on her feet and decided to film a TikTok video to capture her stalkers.
Filmed TikTok Video
On Saturday (7 May), a TikTok user posted a six-second video on TikTok showing herself walking down a corridor along a row of residential flats while holding her phone far out in front of her.

Without the captions, it would simply come across that she was doing the current trending dance on the platform.
However, that was most definitely not the case.
Stalkers Kept Following Her
Plastered across the video were the words “I’m so freakin’ scared these guys keep following me” and “pretending to film a video hope I record their face”.
If that was not clear enough to indicate the situation the girl was in, her eyes darting around furiously would.
In the chilling short video, a man in yellow could be spotted just a short distance behind her but it was unclear how many people were actually following her.

Wanted to Know Where She Lived
According to the girl’s TikTok profile, the video was likely taken in Malaysia.
She also said that the man – or men – had wanted to know where she lived by following her. She claimed that they even entered the same lift as she did, and only pressed the lift button when she pressed the floor.
The girl added in the comments that she did not run as she knew she could not outrun them. As she was on TikTok then, she thought of recording their faces instead. TikTok to the rescue.
She also shared that she had filed a police report and hoped that she had gathered enough evidence.
Aftermath
After the video was posted, it was viewed over 2.9 million times and many TikTok users commented, asking if the girl had managed to reach safety.
Fortunately, she contacted her boyfriend after filming the video and went to his place.
She then urged other girls to be careful when walking alone.
Others also gave advice on what to do if such a situation was to occur again. One user suggested video calling friends and speaking loudly to warn them.
