Youโre going about your business trying to make a living by doing GrabFood delivery. Youโre on your bike and youโre on your way back home after a long and tiring day of work when all of a sudden, you feel your whole body get thrust forward because something has hit you from behind.
You fall to the ground and so does your bike. You turn around and you see a group of men on their own bikes. Thatโs when you deduced that one of them has hit you in the rear. You look at your destroyed bike and politely ask them to compensate for it, but you are only met with hurls of vulgarities.
They surround you and start shouting at you. It feels like a one-sided argument because youโre not allowed to speak at all. Every time you try to explain yourself, you get hit.

During the chaos, one of them dropped his phone near you and as an act of goodwill, you reached over to pick it up for him, but instead, youโre slammed against the ground and accused of โstealingโ his phone.
Wait, what?
Thatโs exactly the situation that this Malaysian GrabFood rider found himself in.
What Happened
According to some people who allegedly saw the whole incident, a group of men accidentally collided with the GrabFood riderโs bike, which caused his bike to be damaged in the process.
The rider then asked them for compensation because well, they were in the wrong.
Instead of apologising for the collision, the group of men started to shout at the rider. As if this wasnโt already enough for the poor rider, they resorted to punching and kicking him, even going as far as to throw a motorcycle helmet at his head.
During the argument, one of the menโs phones dropped onto the ground and the rider attempted to pick it up to return it to him, but the rest of the group saw it as him trying to steal it.
How barbaric must you get? Why canโt they settle this like proper, mature adults by talking things through?

Without even letting him explain himself, they continued to beat him while filming it, as if itโs something that they should be proud of. The man filming can be heard shouting loudly at the rider. The poor rider looked so scared that he could only crouch down in the corner and hold up his hands in defence.
He also begged them not to ruin his motorcycle.
It was as if he didnโt care about getting hit, just as long as they didnโt destroy his bike.
Warning: You might feel very very sad after watching it.

What kind of monster is sick enough to film himself beating someone else up?
Aftermath
They beat the man until he lost consciousness and left him by the roadside. But before they left, they made sure to destroy his bike further.
Just why?
Thankfully, the rider managed to call his brother-in-law for help before he actually passed out. We donโt know how either.
Many netizens replied to his thread to express their annoyance about this incident.

โYou should really let him explain firstโฆ Stop telling him to shut up.โ
โYou told him to shut up, but then you hit him. Thatโs so stupid.โ
It is unclear as to whether the above story was true or not and there are many theories about what really did happen, but regardless of this, we should never resort to violence to fix things. Two wrongs donโt make a right.
We hope that the GrabFood rider recovers soon and justice will be served.
