It’s so refreshing to read a heartwarming story after the flurry of molestation cases and peeping toms with high GPAs.
This particular one has made my heart feel all fuzzy and proves to me that there is indeed hope for humanity.

This particular Malaysian undergrad took it a step further to raise funds to pay for a stray dog’s medical fees.
In a recent Facebook post, a woman named J Yii Zhen sought help from netizens to raise funds. The stray dog needed urgent surgery.
The stray dog had given birth to this puppy in front of Zhen’s door a couple of months ago. Unfortunately, the seven-week-old puppy was hit by a car and was gravely injured.
She then brought it to the vet and was told that its backbone was fractured and its leg bone was dislocated. What’s more horrifying is that even her intestines were displaced.
These injuries required urgent and immediate treatment.
My heart is literally breaking.

Just look at that adorable little puppy.
Unsurprisingly, the cost of the surgery came up to a few thousand ringgit. However, this amount doesn’t include the other expenses post-surgery because the puppy might encounter other medical issues.
This may include problems with defecation that might require Zhen to fork out more money.
Netizens Joined Forces To Donate
Thankfully, netizens everywhere came together to raise the funds for the puppy’s surgery. The puppy is currently undergoing treatment.

Unfortunately, the bone surgery for the back and legs may have to wait as the veterinarians have said that they can’t be sure that the puppy will wake up after anaesthesia.
This could possibly be because the puppy is too young. In the meanwhile, the injuries aren’t fatal but we hope that the little doggo will make a full recovery.
